What would be a good basic hand held GPS for a beginner?

That would all depend on your price range and what you are using it for.


I have 3 GPS I use them all for the same thing. I have 2 Magellan eXplorist 500's and 1 300. For me they have worked well and have never put me on the wrong path. But I love the Magellan line. I also like the New Garmin Colorado 400t.





But like I said in the start. what you get depends on what you are doing and How much you have to spend.
