Good left hand guitar for beginner?

I plan on learning guitar, but picking one out seems a difficult task. I'm looking for a good starter electric guitar that's left handed, my price range is $500-$600 for both guitar and amp. I'm wondering if any of you have some good suggestions?Good left hand guitar for beginner?
go the the guitar shop and start playing every guitar on the wall after you've done that you'll know which one you like, then you can go from thereGood left hand guitar for beginner?
hey conn......... first of all you have a great budget for a starter kit..... most of the big brands have entry level guitars for that price... fender..gibson.. these will usually be made in mexico or the far east... it all depends on the model you want..... strat... les paul...tele...my advice is to go to your local dealer tell him your a complete beginner even if your not.... we've all said that......get him to show you whats in your price range and try out every thing you want... get him to play for you so you can hear and feel the difference in the various models....if he's a decent guy it wont be a problem... and he'll be happy to help.... if your lucky there will be a private booth you can try without embaressment... you'll pay about 15% more for a lefty.... they like to penalise us for being goddam good at everything we do..... any hoo my first electric was a strat copy.... at the mo' my fave is the les paul and my hohner travel guitar...... but i want a tele next..... it doesn't matter what comes first..... you'll buy another...... all the best in your new venture i'm at it over 20 years...... oh yeh nearly forget i'm a guitar maker for ten years.................
