Haven't done much riding at all. I'm 21, 5'11, 160. Looking at maybe a Kawasaki ninja, good bikes?Good sports bikes for a beginner?
1. Make sure its used. Would you start out with a new Porsche or corvette when you first got your d. license?
2. Go to www.about.com. Look for motorcycle forums. There is an entire beginners kit that has the list of best beginners bikes with ratings and opinions
3. Yamaha Seca
or Kawasaki NinjaGood sports bikes for a beginner?
If you don't have much riding experience, I would say keep it at 50 hp or less, which on a sport bike generally means 500 cc's or less (I'm assuming you are in the US; other countries may have laws saying that you absolutely must not go over a certain engine size for your first bike, and have different model lineups). The Ninja 250 and 500 are both great first sport bikes, and there's also the Suzuki GS500F and the Buell Blast.
Any one of these four can be a good first motorcycle, so I recommend checking out all four of them, and see which one you feel most comfortable on.
I also recommend getting some professional riding lessons, if you haven't already. The Motorcycle Safety Foundation is the largest provider of these in the US, but they aren't the only one. The office that issues your drivers' license will have a list of approved motorcycle schools in your area, and often passing the class will get you a full license.
Kawasakis are not that good. Buy a suzuki gsx-r 600 or a CBR
I ride a Kawi ZX-6R Ninja and really like it. I am your height and 180pounds. It does everything I want it to...but I don't stunt at all.
But it has plenty of pull when I need it...passing, etc.
Mine has been trouble free. I can't say the same for all of them of course.
check the configurations on several bikes. they all are setup different so a taller person may fit certain bikes. i got a cbr.
Ninja? great!! any sport bike is going to be a handfull though if you haven't previously ridden.
Maybe you should think about a CBR
CBR 125 baby
If you really wanna start off with a superbike, you can consider getting a Yamaha R6 2007..its the best road bike ever built..good response and handling even when its compared to R1!!...try it..
They are all good, but there is no one fit for all. They are all different and fit differing size bodies. What is a comfortable ride for one person, may not be for you.
I never rode a bike, that I didn't like something about it more than another one. I've owned and rode quite a few makes and models.
