Flight Simulators, Dog-Fighting preferred. What do you recommend for a beginner?

Hey Guys:

I got the urge to dogfight recently. The history channel shows these air to air combat episodes, and the maneuvers for stalking or evading an enemy in in air.

Now I've tried Aces High 2 already, but I only really know how to take off; not land, nor chase and evade an enemy.

I need a dummy's version, then and intermediate, and so on until I can justify buying the more expensive flight games.

I know M$ has a couple, but I really would prefer a natural game. One that doesn't need expansion after expansion. One expansion is fine; past that, it's too expensive.

What is your opinion, and which has the easiest learning curve for this type of game??Flight Simulators, Dog-Fighting preferred. What do you recommend for a beginner?

This is an older game , yet if you can find a copy ....

I would recommend Jane's Fighters Anthology....

it's simple , and it stands alone . You can play it online or offline.

There are patches to play online ....thru hyperlobby as well as some active squadrons still about playing it.

I'm one of them. Currently a member of the 77th Gamblers.
