Good snowboard resorts for beginner?

I need to know the cost of renting equipment, lift ticket, etc.


Also I live in Sacramento so within a 3 hour drive.Good snowboard resorts for beginner?
You should go to one of the smaller resorts. The big ones like Heavenly, Squaw, ect are only good if you can take advantage of all the slopes. Since you are a newbie, you will only be on the bunny and green and if you are really good the blue slopes. I suggest Sugarbowl, Boreal and the one that is right across from Sugarbowl (can't remember right now). These resorts are also the closer in distance from you. I would say that lift tickets are about $40. You should rent equipment at a small shop near the resort. It would run you $25-30. It is much cheaper than renting from the resort.
