Beginner acoustic guitar comparison: Fender DG-8S versus Yamaha F1HC?

Hi, Considering the two guitars above, which one would give a better value? I am a beginner and a fan of the Beatles. The first song I want to play is While My Guitar Gently Weeps.Beginner acoustic guitar comparison: Fender DG-8S versus Yamaha F1HC?
That is one of the epic songs for the Beatles. Eric Clapton even joins George Harrison with those solos.

Don't worry about the type of guitar you play as much as taking the time out to learn the instrument.

There is so much hype on the type of guitar these days just try to be comfortable with what you have and not waste effort on looking where the grass is greener.

When the great guitarists of the past started out I don't think they had much choice other than to work with what they had. When you do go looking you will have a better understanding of what works and what doesn't.

Besides, it all depends on your own individual comfort level, grip, string height, fret dressing, finger ease and your willingness to overlook the things which take the time away from learning the instrument.Beginner acoustic guitar comparison: Fender DG-8S versus Yamaha F1HC?
Thanks guys. I love the Beatles and also Eric Clapton. And yeah, I saw the video clip in youtube about two years ago. The guy who plays the ukulele is Jake Shimabukuro. Because of that clip I searched and learned about him. I have even bought his CDs. Anyway, I will have to decide on the guitar. Report Abuse

Fender is a superior brand name, and generally their craftsmanship is true to the soul of guitar, (unlike Squire which is Fender's dumbed down version of itself) however, Yamaha usually has a better bargain. I'd say go for the Fender.
I would probably get the Yamaha, but you should find a place that has them in stock so you can try them both out.

Try as many as you can, and find the one that feels the best to you.
