How would a beginner go about playing professional paintball?

As in anything, a beginner cannot just throw themselves into a professional team. You need to start playing, learn the rules and the correct terms to use. Once you have more skill and have a better grasp of the sport you will know if you have the skill needed to play professionally.

Cigars Best For Beginner?

hi can you guys tell me that best cigars for beginners, i dont want something tooo strong tasting and neither too expensive, thanks.Cigars Best For Beginner?
Romeo y Julietas and montiecristos are good.Cigars Best For Beginner?
Classic are the best - mild, readily available and inexpensive
Go for a Romeo %26amp; Julieta that are very mild and on the small side so they dont look like a big fat stoggy.
CAO Gold is probably one of the best cigars to start with. It is mild but flavorful and the robusto and corona sizes are under $5. Also very tasty, but more expensive are the Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 Connecticuts and the Ashton Classics. Any good tobacannist will be able to suggest other lines that they carry that are also good to start out with.
Don't go for the fat ones, they are hard to toke on if you're a beginner.
Cigars are fully wrapped on one end, so you either need to buy a cheap cutter, or have the clerk cut the cigar for you.

You might want to try buying a small tin of little cigars. They're good because a whole cigar is a lot to smoke, and several dollars each. But, with a little tin, you get about 10 little cigars for like $10. And they are made by the same brands who make big cigars. I've tried Partegas and Macanudo little cigars.

The good cigars are about $5. My favorites were La Gloria Cubana and Hoyo De Monterrey.
call fincks cigar company to get a free catalog. #18002210638, or their website: www.finckcigarcompany.com They have good prices on cigars. and almost all have a description of the taste. They also have sampler packs and clearance bundles so you can get alot of diffferent ones for cheap .
Romeos are a great cigar but my favorite is Montecrisco white its a great mild smoke. You won't be disappointed. Or maybe try a smaller flavored one. My suggestion is try a couple different kinds there are so many different types out there. Its like dating you have to keep trying different ones till you find one you love. Good luck.
black and milds
Ask Monika Lewinski abot that one........
small hamlet .....enjoy!
cheery or grape flavored
#1 Black %26amp; Mild

#2 Black %26amp; Mild Wine

#3 Black %26amp; Mild Vanilla
dont smoke them at all they are so bad for you it like smoking 7 cigerete and your breath will syink really bad and your teeth will stain dont do it
None!

Smoking KILLS.
None if you are not a smoker don`t start. it is so damned hard to give up once you do and get hooked.Save your money and you health.

What are some good guitar tabs for a beginner?

i have a normal acoustic guitar and i want to learn how to play it. where can i get some good beginner tabs? What are some good guitar tabs for a beginner?
A very easy guitar tab to learn is the national anthem. The frist song I ever learned to play was this.. and I learned it in 10 minutes when I first got my guitar.

It mostly focuses on one string.

Here is the tabs

http://www.tabs-lyrics.com/National-Anth鈥?/a>

You can check around yahoo for some of your favorite songs and learn them but I suggest you learn all the keys first if you don't already know them. Also, when I first got my guitar I went on ebay and bought a video teaching me all the keys and some beginner songs. You can start anywhere.. try playing the national anthem today, you'll learn it fast. Good luck and don't give up (I know it gets frustrating sometimes!)

When I first learned, this is what I played. Greenday: Basket Case, Brain Stew, Longview, Warning, Welcome to Paradise, and When I Come Around. Nirvana is also good. Try songs like: Come As You Are, Heart Shaped Box, Rape Me, and Smells Like Teen Spirit.
This is what i use:

  • I'm planning on taking Harley Davidson's Beginner Riding Course. Do a lot of people go straight to a big bike?

I've looked at the Buell Blast, but i'd really love to get the Buell Firebolt XB9R. Does the course prepare riders enough to (relatively) safely handle a bigger-engined bike as such?I'm planning on taking Harley Davidson's Beginner Riding Course. Do a lot of people go straight to a big bike?
Pretty much what most everyone has said: forget the Firebolt and reconsider the Blast ... you will ruin it and feel real sad, even if you do not eat pavement.

My first bike was a clapped out, five-year-old, 70,000 mile Honda CB450. It was garbage, but it was a good learning machine, taught me a lot about basic mechanics (I was always tinkering to keep the POS running), and I didn't mind so much when I laid it down the first time or two (as you WILL do).

Riding a motorcycle is about developing new reflexes. Nearly everything about riding a bike is different from what you would ';logically'; expect. F'rinstance, you PUSH the right handlebar to GO right (called countersteer). And you use the Front brake in corners, unless you want to go off the outside of the curve and eat a tree. And to regain control and tighten a turn radius, you use THROTTLE, not brake. See, it's all backwards from what you would expect.

The looking/seeing/being seen thing is different on a bike, too. And the sensations are way way different (thrilling, and scary, and a little disorienting at times). Do you want to have that much power whizzing you onto the shoulder and over the handlebars?

Trust me on this. I have been on motorcycles for 30 years now, and have developed some perspective: do NOT get a powerhouse machine for your first bike. The safety class is a great idea, and the Harley class will teach you a lot. But forget wasting your money on the Buell for a first bike, unless you don't mind breaking your toys. Maybe for your second bike, in a year or so.I'm planning on taking Harley Davidson's Beginner Riding Course. Do a lot of people go straight to a big bike?
    It's like asking:

I have someone that needs to learn how to drive.

Can they safely learn in a Corvette?

You can ride anything after taking the basic course. The question is, what is best for you given your experience, confidence and aversion to risk.

This is just my opinion but, I would suggest getting a smaller bike to start with. Buy a used one and ride until you feel you're ready. Then you can supersize to the Buell.
Not at first ,you need to start out small unless your a big dude /Peace
Trae %26amp;taffscott must be living in a cave is all I can figure! HarleyDavidson rider course are Motorcycle Safety Foundation endorsed. That means the instuctors are experienced and have a certificate from the State saying they have met the qualifications to teach such a course.Harley offers a multitude of bikes for riders of all sorts. Your size doesn't matter as I have seen women under 5 ft tall on full dressers( lowered of course) cause Harley offers kits to lower everything they got. It is good you are taking the class as I have been recommending this to new riders evry since I took one back in Oct. They taught this 'ol dog'a few new tricks and tips on staying safe
I learned on a 80cid FLHT, but I'm good. No course will prepare a beginning rider to ride a buell. You should start on something that won't kill you with a flick of the wrist
It is not a good idea to start with a big bike. They are (of course) heavy, less agile in manuvering and stopping.

Start with a much smaller bike. Try a 550cc to 850cc? If you are a bigger person, you might be ok with a Sporster 1100cc.

Ultimately, the best is a dirtbike or enduro...you can ride and bust those up with out being out a lot. Plus, if you can ride well in the dirt, the road is that much easier. Good luck!
While the Harley course is MSF certified, there have been documented cases where the MSF 'bent' the rules and allowed a course to be conducted at a facility that was inadaquate for doing so. This resulted, sadly, in a fatality.

I'm all for training, and for the most part the MSF courses are great. But any training course is only as good as it teachers and facilities. My advice would be to find a community college that offers the basic MSF course. These are usually conducted in more than adaquate facilites by instuctors that WANT to be there helping you learn to ride.

    Good Luck!!!!
You are going to drop your first bike eventually so most people will tell you not to start on a brand new one, especially not something as expensive as a buell.

You shouldnt have a problem handling it though, the xb9r has a v-twin engine, while most sportbikes are inline fours. In terms of power and top speed a gsxr600 or a 600rr will beat the xb9r in spite of the cc difference, but the buells are supposed to have really good handling
First, let me ask you a question? Do you want to stay alive?? If the answer is yes then this is my advice. 1. Take a course from an independently certified school w. certified teachers. Anyone who has something to sell will not be dealing at arm's length (objectively) that's a fact. 2. The basic course is just that - basic. Statistics show that most riders will have an accident in their 3rd year because that's when they feel that they've reached a high skill level and get careless. 3. Start with a smaller bike and move on up. I started 4 years ago with a 250cc (1 yr) went to 600cc (2 yrs) getting a 750cc this year AND taking an Advance Rider Training course. My daughter started with a Buell Blast and she had a blast with it for 4 years. She moved up to a Firebolt this year. Think about this, a person getting their pilot licence, starts with a Boeing 747? Please!!! use your head and forget about the machismo for at least a year or two. Have fun and keep the shiny side up.
the HD new rider course will teach you enough to ride a bike safely but experience will teach you more plus you insurance Co.will be a little more reasonable if you have some experience. Big New Bike and New Rider High Rates!
why are u even considering getting a bike that's almost 1000cc....both fuel injected and water cooled? did u even see how much this puppy weighs? it's barely heavy enough to be used for a paper weight with the engine this thing has in it. the only difference the firebolt has vs the blast is.......the blast will be a hell of alot more forgiving than the firebolt will ever be. if u make a mistake on the 'bolt, if the riding gods are against u, it will be the last mistake u ever make.

just because u graduated the brc doesnt mean u have enough skills to handle a liter bike on the twisties at speed. on the road, u cant afford to make a mistake.
You really shouldn't take the class thru Harley. I know they give ';benefits'; if you do, but the reality of it is, the people who ';teach'; the class aren't certified. Most of the time they are just people who work for the dealership. I highly recommend looking for the class that the state provides. Its a lot better of a course and the teachers are actually fully certified.
I have never heard of a HD beginners riding course. If you are a junior zoomie, you have no place on a Buell.

if i were to buy it, it would be my first bike

i plan on racing it, not in competitions, just for fun against friends

    thanks

also, does anyone know more details about it?Is this a good dirt bike for a beginner?
No its not a good bike to race. It looks like an off-brand, probably a cheap chinese bike. This is a pit bike and pit bikes cant handle any jumps at all. If you want a good bike to race then get a Honda CRF150R. They are really quick for their size. And they have really good suspension made for big jumps.

Dont buy any bike unless its either Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawazaki, or KTM. Personaly i like Hondas the most because they have a good reputation for reliability, performance, and overall quality. Is this a good dirt bike for a beginner?
im sorry but i would not spend my money on that bike. if you are looking for a pit bike go for a klx110 or a drz110. if you are lookin for a bigger bike check out a xr100 or xr 150. but i would not buy that bike, i know it is cheap but thats not always a good thing. sometimes you get what you pay for.
Well I would suggest Honda for sure, that bike would not be good. It is only a pit bike which is only good for strolling around with. I have a bike for sale at the moment, it is a Honda Xr100R 2003, it is very reliable and handles jumps well!

How a beginner can enter in to stock market?

Standard investment advice is that you should invest in a diversified mix of stocks, bonds, and money market funds. If you are like most people you will invest part of your money aggressively in stocks, and part conservatively in money market funds and bond funds. The links below have on-line questionnaires which will give you an idea of how to do ';Asset Allocation,'; determining how much to put in each type of investment.

You want to buy a diversified portfolio of stocks as individual stocks are too risky. Highly knowledgeable people can buy a properly balanced portfolio, but most folks have a difficult time balancing things on their own. They will misbalance their portfolio by buying all small stocks or all growth stocks, or some other misbalanced assortment of stocks. Back in 2000, Some people bought all internet stocks; they got burnt when they all crashed together. You have to diversify across industries. Unless you know what you are doing, it is best to buy mutual funds. Buy no-load, low cost funds. Mutual funds should have expense ratios of less than 0.5%.

If your company offers a 401K plan at work, try to invest the most you can. The money grows tax free, and some companies will match your contribution. Investing in a mutual fund IRA is also a good idea. If you have children, you may want to consider a 529 plan or other college savings plan that grows tax free.

I like index funds. Because of their broad diversification, you are less likely to have a dramatic drop in value. They also have the lowest expenses. For stock funds, I would suggest putting ~70-80% of your money in the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund. and ~20-30% in a foreign stock index fund. However, there are many different opinions out there on what the best mutual funds are. Read the links below and form your own opinion.

If you have high-interest debt, like credit cards, it is best to pay this off first before trying most of the investment ideas above. You should also have 3-6 months of salary saved up as an emergency fund in a bank or money market fund before trying more risky investments.

Believing advice you get on Yahoo answers can be risky, so read these websites for further information. If you find it too confusing, contact a professional financial advisor. They will charge you significant commissions, however.

First of all open a Demat account either with a Bank or a Broker (eg ICICI Bank ; http://www.icicidirect.com , Sharekhan; http://www.sharekhan.com , India bulls etc).

Then slowly start investing in IPOs which are relatively safe and give good return on listing. As you go on you will get a feel of market and then you can start investing in secondary market.

Regarding tips, so start watching CNBC TV18, NDTV Profit, CNBC Awaaz and Zee Business. They have very good coverage of stock market, and some of the program discuss stocks in detail where you can even ask questions related to stocks. It helps a lot in deciding where to invest.

Furthermore you can also invest in mutual funds, which donot give as good returns as the market, but the risk component is very less and the returns are quite decent.

Investopedia website is a good starting point in getting your fundamentals of stocks, right. Otherwise, sky is the limit. Its a huge field out there. If you don't want to research too much, find a good mutual fund and leave the research to its fund manager. You can keep buying the units of this fund at regular intervals of time so that every short-term bull and bear trends would get averaged and would give you a good long-term return.
basic thing is u should invest money which u dont require in the short term like u invest today and need in a couple of week/month's time. dont follow other's as it is mostly setiment driven market and people tend to believe what all people are doing is right. find a suitable broker in ur locality and ask his advice. nowadays banks ae also giving advice. if u want to buy/sell shares u've to create an demat ac. for details contact banks, or leading broking house like karvy, indiabulls, reliance money. for more details u can visit economictimes.com, moneycontrol.com, nseindia.com

What is a good road bike for a beginner that does not cost more than $300?

They are ALL USED for $300! and there arent any good bikes in your price range NEW! Sorry....at least none that I would recommend to you! What is a good road bike for a beginner that does not cost more than $300?
A new bike in this price range will not be very good. There are some good deals out there used, cyclists are always upgrading, but you have to know what to look for. Think about a bike as a long term investment. My first good road bike cost about $500, and lasted me over 25 years, or about $20 a year, not very expensive. A cheap $200 bike might be junk in a couple of years, it would actually be more expensive. The other upside of a better machine is that it will be a lot more fun to ride, you would end up using it more often. What is a good road bike for a beginner that does not cost more than $300?
so long as you'll ride it that is the best bike for you. I use to race mountain bikes and been out riding with guys / gals that spent 3 to 7 thousand on bikes rode them for a couple of months then garadged. Ebay is full of them. Ive seen the same exact thing with road bikes.

people will recommend anything from target bikes to cervelo but if you dont ride it, its not worth a penny. there really is no such thing as a bike for a 'beginner' A beginner can ride a 5,000 dollar bike just as well as they can ride a 500 hundred dollar bike.

Out on the road and or trails Ive had my hass kicked by guys and girls on less expensive bikes then mine and I have also rode much better then others with way more expensive bikes then me.

I usually recomnend that you find a feature that you like, such as color, frame geometry or style maby just the seat type. buy it, ride it, and over time go from there. go to ebay for ideas. go to a bike shop.

If your new bike shops tend to be more expensive and they will coax you into something so know what you want before you go.

I see alot of guys on here with excellent comments but in the end the best bike is the bike that you will actually ride.
    First find your size.

    Second, check Ebay.

Right now a Schwinn 434 Aluminum frame bike is $57 on Ebay. Yeah, I still have mine from 1992 and I train in it. There are lots of bikes out there used. But for the basics, e.g. learning to ride in the drop bars, index shifting, skinny tires with rediculous pressure and a seat that could make a grown man cry like a little girl... check out Craigslist and look for aluminum frames--everyone is going to carbon so you should be able to get an aluminum road bike cheap.
Know this - I am a category V road racer...I know bikes. I would never point anyone in this direction who was going to get serious about a road bike, but...Wal Mart is carrying new Schwinns now for around $300 - maybe a little less. They're NOT GREAT - by any stretch of the imagination - but, if you've only got $300 to spend on one - this might be the one.

It's not going to win you any races, or anything like that - it's probably the heaviest aluminum frame on the market, with cheap components - but, it'll get you started. Maybe in six months or a year, you can go out and get yourself a nicer one.

    Good luck!
Where I live, that budget can only buy imitation new road bike that breaks down every week

Look for used road bike of steel/aluminium frameset. You may be a little too new to detect damaged carbon frameset

Try get one with a wide gear ratio range, clincher tire (tubular always get punctured). Check that the bike size fits you, not the other round

Check if the brakes are in order, the gear change smooth
There are many secondhand good bikes for sale, depending on where you are from. A secondhand bike is always a good buy because it would have cost more when they bought it! When you sit on a bike make sure the balls of your feet touch the ground whilst seated. The seat will be adjustable. Get a bike with gears so that you can vary riding speeds and hills.
Bikes Direct have two for $300 but you need to know how to assemble and tune a bike.

    http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/road鈥?/a>
You might find a decent used single speed for that price. Check craigslist daily.

Expect to pay $1,000 for a decent road bike plus another $500 for extras/upgrades.

What does it mean when it says ';Advanced Beginner'; when it comes to dance classes

I was looking up some classes at the Broadway Dance Center in New York website. There were some that said ';Beginner'; and other said ';Advanced Beginner';. Whats the difference? What does it mean when it says ';Advanced Beginner'; when it comes to dance classes
Beginner meaning that you haven't had any training at all. And then Advanced Beginner is when you've had some training, but still aren't that well and need to improve your technique. What does it mean when it says ';Advanced Beginner'; when it comes to dance classes
Well, it doesn't mean that the student thinks they're great when they're dancing at home or in the clubs. It would mean you've had beginning classes and know the basic moves and are consistently proficient at executing them. So, you're ready to move on to more difficult steps, routines, etc.
Advanced beginner means that you aren't intermediate of advanced but are a begginer that is advanced enough to be called an advanced beginner but not quite intermediate.

    Hope I made sense!!:)
advanced beginner may mean that the class is designed for people who are still learning the beginning steps but have taken classes before....
uMMMM. At the Irish Dance school I go to, Advanced Beggeiner (AKA; AB) is level 2, begginer being 1.
Advanced Beginner? That would be an OXYMORON...lol...

What is a good reptile for a beginner?

i know all about heat mats and that some need U.V lights etcWhat is a good reptile for a beginner?
An iguana. They are easy to care for as long as you follow a few rules.

    They are cheap.

And there is a lot of literature on them. What is a good reptile for a beginner?
if you want a small reptile you can go with a anole or long tailed lizard, or a crested gecko.

also other good beginner reptiles are:

    bearded dragons

    leopard geckos

    corn snake

    ball python

an iguana is not a good beginner reptile because they grow to be huge! and can bite and whip their tail at you. they may be good for some people but not for all. they are hard to care for and take time.

for the 2 snakes i mentioned you could start them off in a 20 gallon sized tank if they are babies. they just need a regular heat lamp or you could get them one of those UV heat lamps that is bright during the day then at night when the lights are off it sort of glows in the dark and turns a light blue as if it was night time for them. the snake(s) would need a hiding log, a branch to climb on and for feeding time you could feed them 1 or 2 adult mice a week. the ball pythons are more laid back slow moving snakes and corn snakes are fast and skinny.

the ball python gets to be 5 ft but thick and the corn snakes get to be 5 to 6 ft but skinny.

when you feed the corn snake you can feed it pinkies or small adult mice.

Leopard Geckos eat crickets and can eat veggies and are easy to breed. they are friendly little reptiles.

Anoles are tiny and eat crickets, they need to be fed everyday and dont really need a lamp as much because they go by whatever temperature the room is. they change colors to match their surroundings and to give them water you can spray some with a spray bottle and they will drink the water off the glass or whatever. they can be handeled but move fast because it is their instinct.

crested geckos can make excellent pets. they love to be held and can change colors a little bit. what makes them so cool is their backs feel a little like leather like nice and soft and their bellies feel really soft. they have good temperments and like to be out of the cage. they dont bite at all and they eat crickets too.

no matter what reptile you get besides the snakes though make sure you buy some calcium powder for them and sprinkle it on the crickets or whatever you are feeding them so they can get the proper nutrients from that too and their food.
    get a leopard gecko !

they dont grow to big (about 8'') and they are quite easily tamed they live about 20 years and come in all different colour morphs . Mine is 3 years old and one of the best pets ive ever had !

    good luck !
Iguanas are not considered beginner reptiles...some that are beginner reptiles are:

    leopard gecko

    bearded dragon

    blue tongue skink
I would recommend a Leopard Gecko. In addition to being marked rather strikingly, they need minimal in terms of their environment to live in, and they also only live on the ground, so you don't have to worry about them escaping (they have no adhesive pads on their feet) If you want to know more about them, check out this link: http://www.leopardgeckocare.net/

What caged bird is good for a beginner?

i really want a bird i have for a while now was debating weither to have an avary or a caged indoor bird i decided on the caged bird , which sort is best for a beginner bird owner ? any other info would be good also thanks in advanceWhat caged bird is good for a beginner?
How about a zebra finch? They are small, and social. If you get a young one, you can teach it to inter-react with your household.

Zebra finches are also really cheep, but they live for a pretty long time.

Their diets are pretty simple. Seeds, some fruits, some veggies, and some bread ( toast, bagels) eggs.

Since the birds are small, you wont have to worry about cleaning up after them all the time. These birds are low maintenance with big personality. What caged bird is good for a beginner?
Love bird they are great pets!, but you need to spend a LOT of time with them. Report Abuse

I'm not a vegetarian yet, but trying to eat fewer animals, and I figure that the better my own cooking with tofu is, the more likely I am to make the change, and the more likely others are to consider a change themselves (so some foods that feel hearty enough to appease the meat-lovers' cravings, too). Bodybuilding Beginner Needs?

I start planning to go to the gym, but many people told me to buy a lot of protein powder, Vitamins, Recovery Enhancer, Amino Acids, Glutamine and many others. What do I really need?Bodybuilding Beginner Needs?
    Hey bud.

1.Enable to get BIG(build muscle mass) you have to eat big! Bottom line!

you have to consume enough calories, and about 1gram of protein per body lb. you way.So if you way 150 lbs, consume 150grams of protein per day.

    2. SLEEP.. Muscle builds when you are sleeping, not when your in the gym. Get atleast 8 hours of sleep per night.

    3. Lift Heavy weights. Heavy weights = more mass....Lighter weights=more ripped and toned.

    4. Stay DEDICATED to your workout plan. Otherwise you will never gain muscle mass, It takes time but after you stick to it, in a few months you will see awesome gains and will want to keep going!

    ......

Dont let people tell you that you NEED supplements to gain muscle....

    For example..

The people in jail get HUGE, and they dont have bodybuilding supplements, they eat only 3 meals per day.

Supplements only help you build muscle a LITTLE faster. But there not required to build muscle. ( I only use Protein shake's).

Supplement's are expensive and not really worth it.

The only supplement thats really good is Whey Protein.Bodybuilding Beginner Needs?
    friend,

You listen to your body and do the work out. What I suggest is initially you please do not take any so called supplements. You rely on natural protein for period of three months and see the developments in your body. After that you can decide yourself whether u have to go for supplements or not.

However, the usage of creatine will give you a lot of side effects in the long run. The only supplement what I can advise from my personal experience is pure whey protein.

So, go ahead with natural proteins like Milk, Egg (preferably not to take yolk), Pulses, green pease etc.

Plan your work out with the combination of resistance training, stretches and cardios.

    Good luck.
To start off just make sure u eat right. Now in terms of supplement use.... protein powders are a must use supplement, especially the ones that contain enough BCAA( branch chain amino acid), for example, Optimum Nutrition 100% WHEY PROTIEN, you can use Muslce Milk which has lots of protien and a good amount of glutamine. Multi vitamins u do need to consume every day... I reccommend you try Mega Men Sports from GNC. They are pretty good... they contain amino acids and of course your daily recommended value of vitamins....

Head down to a local GNC store and try to get these stuff.. products such as creatine, helps speed up recovery and mainly help give u strength and bulkness.. look for products that contain arginine. Arginine helps blood circulate better through your veins since it provides nitrogen oxide. It will help u look pumped and provide you with enough energy and strength.

    Product recommendation:

*Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein, Muslce Milk or Probolic-SR Protein

    *Mega Men Sports

*Cell-Tech from Muslce Tech (Creatine) or Size On from Gaspari (both taste like s**t but work real good

*Nano X9 from Muscle Tech (Ariginine) or NO-Xplode from BSN

All these u can find at ur local GNC store.

    Good luck...
South Beach Fitness Trainer has given an excellent answer. but i would say a couple of things. inmates get big without eating loads cos they make up for it with large amounts of rest that is totally impractical outside of jail. also there is no such thing as a 'toned' muscle, the appearance of the 'toned' look is simply a large muscle under very little fat. and doing high reps with low weights will not achieve this. a muscle can grow, it can shrink or it can stay the same. you can't make it harder or softer. that is simply a result of body fat.

having said that everything else that South Beach said is good advice. I myself only use protein powders.

But, if i may, let me help you out a bit more (cos i'm such a nice guy) Can i be so bald as to presume that you want to workout cos your skinny? Let me point you in the direction of a tried and tested workout program designed specifically for skinny guys:

YES. FIrst, read some books on it. My advice to start is a great book, probably available at your local library, called ';Don't Make Me Think';... it's a great book on how users look at websites and what they need and want. If you learn the basics of the OBJECTIVE of the website, then whatever you do will be successful. Success in webdesign is not measured in how much glitch you produce, but on whether people using the site find it useful. Don't worry about the tekkie stuff, it will follow. :)

I am beginner in yoga and i heard about pilates mat. Can i join that class? do i need to be flexible to join that class?Yoga beginner learn pilates mat?
I'm sorry but your question is hard to understand.

I think you are asking if you can join a pilates class, or a yoga class.

For either class, you do not need to be flexible. It is by taking the class that you become flexible. Either pilates or yoga are good for building strength, stamina and flexibility. You will gain more flexibility through yoga though.

All about babysitting. EVERYTHING! For a beginner babysitting kids aged 1-6?

Ok, I am going to start advertising my babysitting. I need tips for advertising and help on everything! Give me advice on absolutely EVERYTHING! Games, ideas, tips, advertising tips, help, etc. I will be babysitting for kids ages 1-6. Tips for kids those ages? Especially 1-4 year olds and then some help for 5-6 year olds? I want really long answers, but also good ones. Thanks! All about babysitting. EVERYTHING! For a beginner babysitting kids aged 1-6?
Well it's always good to start with a babysitting class, unless you are going to people you know with this strangers will want references. Since you are new to this and have no references a certificate of completion of a course is the next best thing.

Advertise in the paper, take out an ad.

You can find tons of crafts and fun games online, just google ';Games and Crafts for Children'; or something along those lines.

Age appropriate movies can be good also, not all the time but as an occasional treat. Same thing with songs or dances.

Also another important thing is to discuss discipline with the parents beforehand, just in case. If they don't want you to discipline, if they do, what to do like timeouts, spankings, etc. Many parents are very specific about how they would like things handled for consistency in teaching the child.

Also you need to know the child's routines and medical information that is important such as allergies, asthma, epilepsy, or anything else that you may have to deal with at some point while watching the child. All about babysitting. EVERYTHING! For a beginner babysitting kids aged 1-6?
Well, first of all, how old are you? If it is your first time babysitting I would definately start with the 4-10 year old age range. Babies and toddlers are a ton of work. Once you get into the preschool age group you can easily keep 4-10 year olds busy with arts and crafts. All kids enjoy them when young... bring NEW stuff with you to keep them happy. The 25 cent felt sheets at the craft store can turn into exciting puppets. The loose buttons and stuff around your house will make fun crafts. Just think outside the box. Anyone can color. What new thing can you bring to the table?

And the most important thing for any age range is to be in charge, not a friend. They need to respect your authority or they will walk all over you.
Bring a bag with ';surprises'; in it. Coloring books, inexpensive toys, dress up clothes (get from your mom's throw-aways), etc.

Tidy up the house and the Mom will love you. Moms share with each other about babysitters. Do a good job for one and they will all be calling.
Here's a site that has all sorts of good babysitting advice:

    Beginner soccer drills and training?

My friend wants me to train him this summer to play on the same college soccer team as me in the fall. What are some quality drills that we can do to get him to be a better player? He wants to play defense, so clearing and touch will be important.Beginner soccer drills and training?
You鈥檙e probably wondering how you can combine them into a routine for yourself. Well, if you are, then read on and take a look at some of the examples listed below. But remember, don鈥檛 be afraid to make modifications to your regimen. Each player is different! And if you have questions, consult a coach or trainer. Good luck!

You can modify this schedule to what fits you best, as long as you incorporate all of these elements frequently. But it鈥檚 a good idea to avoid strength training your legs every day so that they have a chance to recover and rebuild the muscle fibers. On the days you鈥檙e not doing plyometrics, you can still weight train, but focus on the upper body. As for what and how much to work, try this workout, three sets each.

    Day 1--%26gt; Stretching--%26gt; Sprints --%26gt; Plyometrics --%26gt; Weights (lower) --%26gt; Ball work --%26gt; Stretching

    Day 2 --%26gt; Stretching --%26gt; Balance --%26gt; Shuttle run --%26gt; Sit-ups --%26gt; Pushups --%26gt; Weights (upper) --%26gt; Stretching

    Day 3 --%26gt; Stretching --%26gt; Distance run --%26gt; Sprints --%26gt; Ball work --%26gt; Stretching

    Day 4 --%26gt; Stretching --%26gt; Shuttle run --%26gt; Sit-ups --%26gt; Pushups --%26gt; Plyometrics --%26gt; Weights (lower) --%26gt; Stretching

    Day 5 --%26gt; Stretching --%26gt; Balance --%26gt; Weights (upper) --%26gt; Distance run --%26gt; Sprint --%26gt; Ball work --%26gt; Stretching

    Day 6--%26gt; Stretching --%26gt; Shuttle run --%26gt; Sit-ups --%26gt; Pushups --%26gt; Weights (optional) --%26gt; Stretching

    Day 7--%26gt; Off

Upper body: Benchpress --%26gt; pec-fly/butterfly --%26gt; incline press --%26gt; lat pulldown --%26gt; compound row --%26gt; tricep extensions (cables or dumbbells) --%26gt; dips --%26gt; bicep curls --%26gt; concentration curls

Lower body: squats or leg press --%26gt; leg extension --%26gt; leg curls --%26gt; lunges --%26gt; abs --%26gt; calf raises

Also, you shouldn鈥檛 do plyometrics on a day you do long distance running. You don鈥檛 want to overexert your legs and possibly injure yourself. If the routine above gets boring, switch it up a bit to what best fits your body.

Balance exercises can easily be added to your training. Since most of these tend not to require a lot of physical strength and endurance, do them on a less strenuous day, or at a time of day when you feel your legs can handle them (preferably the morning).

TIP: You can never do enough ball work! Make sure to get plenty of this in your daily routines, whether it鈥檚 through regularly scheduled practice or by working it further into your training regimen.Beginner soccer drills and training?
If he's going to play in college, he needs to get into shape. Do conditioning with him, core and endurance training ie. proper crunches, running, etc. Have him stand a full field from you, maybe a half, and send long shots to you. Have them be accurate and preferably with a backspin (it's easier for the receiver to trap the ball), but that's up to you. Play 1v1 with him for his touch-- him defense, you offense.

Don't kill yourselves training too hard though; I only say this because I overworked my foot and now have what I believe to be a metatarsal fracture.
theres a workout u can do where u attatch a large rubberband or something flexible, springy, etc... to ur lower leg and attatch it to something stable stuck to the floor wont move and move it forward and back and hold it in between- this will strengthen muscles for kicking?clearing and sprinting juggling helps touch and coordination when the ball may be in the air i noticed the players on my team who can juggle well are usually the better players all shuffles side shuffle running sprinting and whatching pro soccer on tv. u should do long chip passes with him and work on the weakest parts of the body thats what george best did and they eventually he got better on that side now look at how good he was. do drills where u throw the ball at him and he heads it, controls it and passes ity, knees it, chest etc... and gives it back to ualways make sure he takes a touch to the side whenever he plays outta danger u cant play around with the ball at the back
high long pass is the best for defense so he might want to work on his leg for strenght

Beginner acoustic guitar comparison: Fender DG-8S versus Yamaha F1HC?

Hi, Considering the two guitars above, which one would give a better value? I am a beginner and a fan of the Beatles. The first song I want to play is While My Guitar Gently Weeps.Beginner acoustic guitar comparison: Fender DG-8S versus Yamaha F1HC?
That is one of the epic songs for the Beatles. Eric Clapton even joins George Harrison with those solos.

Don't worry about the type of guitar you play as much as taking the time out to learn the instrument.

There is so much hype on the type of guitar these days just try to be comfortable with what you have and not waste effort on looking where the grass is greener.

When the great guitarists of the past started out I don't think they had much choice other than to work with what they had. When you do go looking you will have a better understanding of what works and what doesn't.

Besides, it all depends on your own individual comfort level, grip, string height, fret dressing, finger ease and your willingness to overlook the things which take the time away from learning the instrument.Beginner acoustic guitar comparison: Fender DG-8S versus Yamaha F1HC?
Thanks guys. I love the Beatles and also Eric Clapton. And yeah, I saw the video clip in youtube about two years ago. The guy who plays the ukulele is Jake Shimabukuro. Because of that clip I searched and learned about him. I have even bought his CDs. Anyway, I will have to decide on the guitar. Report Abuse

Fender is a superior brand name, and generally their craftsmanship is true to the soul of guitar, (unlike Squire which is Fender's dumbed down version of itself) however, Yamaha usually has a better bargain. I'd say go for the Fender.
I would probably get the Yamaha, but you should find a place that has them in stock so you can try them both out.

Try as many as you can, and find the one that feels the best to you.

Best type of condom for a beginner? And tips on what a girl loves in bed?

What condoms are the best for having sex for the first time?? And what do most girls like while having sex or something that turns them on etc.. Any tips would be great. Thanks.Best type of condom for a beginner? And tips on what a girl loves in bed?
The only real advice I'd give you on condoms is: don't go cheap. Get a name brand like Trojans.

Girls, like guys, are individuals. Despite the hundreds of books to the contrary, I really don't think there's a set sexual routine that will drive any and all woman wild.

Talk to her about what she likes. If you are too embarassed to talk about sex then you are not ready to have it. Listen to what she says and DO WHAT SHE ASKS. Pay attention to how she responds and adjust your behavior. Don;t be so focused on how much you are enjoying it that you are not paying any attention to her.Best type of condom for a beginner? lol well dont know much on this, but my brother son,,, try a wal mark, bag,, lol this is true, but you know wal mark, know for some good thing, but, it did not work well for him, 9 month latter they had a son
when i first began I liked using trojan ex latex condoms with spermacidal lubricant. Knowing what girls really like, you will have to figure that one out on your own.
Lifestyles condoms are great for the first time. My first time, my boyfriend used Trojan and he felt less sensation with Trojan than with Lifestyles. Use the Ultra-Sensitive kind =)

i really want a bird i have for a while now was debating weither to have an avary or a caged indoor bird i decided on the caged bird , which sort is best for a beginner bird owner ? any other info would be good also thanks in advanceWhat caged bird is good for a beginner?
How about a zebra finch? They are small, and social. If you get a young one, you can teach it to inter-react with your household.

Zebra finches are also really cheep, but they live for a pretty long time.

Their diets are pretty simple. Seeds, some fruits, some veggies, and some bread ( toast, bagels) eggs.

Since the birds are small, you wont have to worry about cleaning up after them all the time. These birds are low maintenance with big personality. What caged bird is good for a beginner?

Let me point you in the direction of a tried and tested workout program designed specifically for skinny guys:

it was developed by the West-side power-lifting group who are world renowned leaders in developing strength and muscle mass. you wont go far wrong with that program.

  • All about babysitting.

Is the Triumph Thruxton a good beginner bike?

I'm 5' 11'; 230 lbs. I'd be using the bike as my main transportation which is only going to class or to a friend's house around the city (and of course for joy riding). Is the Triumph Thruxton a good beginner bike?
    Yes !!!

It makes good, but not overwhelming horsepower. It has a nice, wide powerband. It's not too heavy. It has good, predictable handling with lots of ground clearance. These are traits that make it easy to ride well. As a bonus it's easy on chains and tires and It's fantastically reliable, so maintenance won't break the bank either. What's there not to like ?

I highly recommend getting a set of TOR (Triumph off-road) pipes. They are not irresponsibly loud, but still free up the engine nicely and give it a nice throaty sound. Is the Triumph Thruxton a good beginner bike?
myself i like the scrambler and my dad the bonneville

we were at the local bike wrecker and he said straight out that a new triumph out of any motor bike on the market is what he would buy new!

and i could not help but agree with him about what he said that harley's were apart from something he will not touch.
    I agree with DG.

Great bike, and not everybody has one.

If I could afford one, I would add one to my stable in a minute.

Just take the MSF course, and wear your gear.

    Welcome to the sport.
The clip-ons (low handlebars) are a bit uncomfortable around town. You could try a bonneville.
of course! beginner bike, u lucky bastard.

How big should the head of a racquet be for a beginner? and how long should a tennis racquet be for a beginner

for a person that is 5'5'; and 110 lbs.How big should the head of a racquet be for a beginner? and how long should a tennis racquet be for a beginner
Prob somewhere in the 105 range. Length is standard.

Grip and weight are what you need to look for.

You are supposed to measure from the second crease in your palm to tip of ring finger.

You would prob want, I would guess based on your h/w a 4 1/4 size grip. You can always have grip made larger so it's better to be too small.

Also try a racquet that's not too heavy.

A lot of women, including myself, have the ( Head Ti S6 ). It's Head's number 1 selling racquet for females.

It's amazing how many people I see using it.

I tried a friend's and really liked it. It's very light.

You can't go wrong with that one.How big should the head of a racquet be for a beginner? and how long should a tennis racquet be for a beginner
This what i woul suggest. Stand up %26amp; hold the racquet handle till the head touches the ground. That should be the perfect size for you.
    Try medium size racquet!
Well... the headsize. If you are just starting tennis.. Try to get a big one.. like 105-100 sq. inches. Later you must start to lower the size.

    Like I started 98 and now I'm 95

Roger Federer has a 90 sq. inch racquet!!! But he is a pro and World No.1 and he has gone though diffrent racquets.

Again, start with big head size and as you improve buy new racquets with smaller head size than your last one.

Should I take advanced dance or beginner's?

I started dancing at age 3, I quit when I was 10. But now at age 14 I've decided to join again. My teacher doesn't know which class to put me in, so its up to me. On tuesday I tried a beginner's class for ballet and jazz. I had fun even though I knew all the steps and stretches. And it helps me get better with tecnique. On wednesday I tried a more advanced class (ballet/ tap/ jazz), the same one I would be in if I never quit. It wasn't as fun and it was harder. Everyone was so serious and knew exactly what they were doing. I felt weird. My mom and teacher think I would be able to catch up quickly in the more advanced class, and I think I could too, and the challange would be good for me. But it's not as fun to me as the begginer's class. I don't know which class to choose! I know it's really all up to me, but id like to hear some other people's opinions. ThanksShould I take advanced dance or beginner's?
beginners to brush upShould I take advanced dance or beginner's?
I would take a beginners to brush up on what I missed over the years and then once that year is over for that class or whatever, then I would take the advanced class.
I think you should take beginner's again. It sounds like you had more fun in that class. You'll be able to brush up on simple steps and perfect them. When you think you're more prepared for such a serious class you can move up to advanced.

Good luck and have fun! : )
if you don't like the advanced class, don't take it! or, you can try taking both classes. trust me at your age, the more the better. im 12 and take 4 classes a week. being in a class too hard for you will only make you perform poorly. when you start to feel that the beginner is getting way too easy, switch to advanced.
    beginners
I'd take beginner for one semester (or whatever the units are) to brush up and catch up, and then see if I can switch to advanced.

    **** (After your comment)

Usually, it is a good idea to pick it up where you left it, and that might be beginner.

Is there any way you can take both? Would that be too much? Is there any way they'll let you take advanced and prepare for advanced recitals while taking beginner's for technique?

Then it really depends on what are you planning to do next with your dancing. I'd try to lay it out so that I can go pro. You definitely want good tecnique for that. If you think that the teacher of advanced class will give you enough attention to get you up to speed, than go for advanced. However, if you're left to your own devices in advanced class, you might be screwing up your own dancing without even knowing it by attempting harder stuff without knowing how. Beginner, on the other hand, might get too slow very soon. It all depends on how much can you work and willing to work on your own dancing. Good luck with your decision. Stretch it out with taking both classes as long as you can or as long as you need to decide.
Actually, I was in a similar situation several years back, I had quit and then restarted and I got put into an advanced class. It was akward, but worth it. I think that if you really love dance and want a challenge then the advanced class would be for you. But just because you are in an advanced class doesn't mean that you can't have fun!
Advanced. I think going over the same stuff in beginner's will start to get boring to you after a while.
start in the beginner's and enjoy it, you are a little head of the game, but you are alot older this time, so enjoy it and do your thing, [they probably have new ideas and steps] it will be fun............
i would personally go with the one where I had more fun. If it gets boring you can always advance.
    Advanced
I would take the beginners class just to get refreshed and then when it's time to start back with enrollment for classes again take the more advanced class. I have taken dance and gymnastics for years and I kind of had the same situation as you when I quit when I was 11 and started back up when I was 13. It was hard but it all came back naturally. Gymnastics always was more my thing than dance though. I am 21 now and could still go tumble.
My first instinct is beginning. Even professional dancers go back and do beginner classes regularly because it allows them to focus on technique and strengthening, which is exactly what you will need.

However, 2 years in beginning is a very long time. There are no other studios that have more flexible options? Our local dance company re-evaluates every 6 months to year.

Because of the 2 year issue and because you have your teacher's endorsement to do the advanced class, I think you may be better off in the advanced class. Ask your mom if you can do both for awhile and then do just the advanced after a month or two. Or, see if she'll let you do a private or semi-private lesson every few weeks to help you catch up. : )
ive been dancing for 14 years, ever since i was two, and i strongly suggest to go to beginners. after a lil while when uve brushed up on everything like your leaps and flexiblity, ask your teacher to try the advanced class. hard classes can be lotsa fun, but really hard classes are frustrating. and you should go with something fun, so i think u should do the beginners for a while first
It all depends on how you feel about dance. If it is just to have fun then take the beginner class. However if it is your passion in life and you want to go farther and use dance in your future go to the advanced. For myself when I was younger I always strive to be better so the challenge of the more advanced class was what I wanted. Even though these dancers were more advanced and I didn't always do well it pushed me to work hard to get that good. It also helped me watching them and learning from them. I think that if you have to be in the class for two years you should try the Advanced. It wont take long for you to pick back up and I feel you may get bored in the beginner class. I danced for 14 years then I took six years off and when I started back up in a beginner / intermediate class for point. I was very rusty at first and felt that I was in the right class but within a few weeks was at the top of the class and didn't feel challenged and wanted to do more. Especially when it came time for the recital. The moves were so basic I was embarrassed to get on stage and wanted to be able to show what I could actually do. The decision is up to you but if the teacher is giving you the option to go into the advanced class then she must think you could be at that level quickly and I would do it.
If i were u i would take beginners........dancing is all about having fun!!! And if ur in advanced you won't have as much fun!!!

besides u'll be ahead of the other girls in your dance class!!

but the final choice is your.....make the rit choice...bye :)
i would go with the advance class. It will be hard at first but then once you get used to it you will be able to do it.

I'm somewhat in the same situation with swim. I quit for a year and i'm back down to square one... but after three week's practice.. i'm kinda getting back to the times that i used to make for swim.

Im 5'10 i weigh 140 n im looking for a dirt bike for the trails and im a beginner.?

i would like a Yamaha but w.e u think is better for me is fine. so what size bike should i get i was think a 125cc or a 230cc but i dont no.Im 5'10 i weigh 140 n im looking for a dirt bike for the trails and im a beginner.?
Go with a four stroke 230cc if you only want to hit the trails; a two stroke 125 are to noisy and are illegal in most trail oriented parks. However if you want to hit real jumps you will need more power, like the 125. You could buy a 250 four stroke, but they are more advanced and not for complete beginners.Im 5'10 i weigh 140 n im looking for a dirt bike for the trails and im a beginner.?
i think that you should get a yz250f because it has the power for the trails and if you want to get a little crazy it has the power and capability for that as well.
    A beginner your size should have a 4 stroke between 200 and 250cc. Go with a Yamaha TT-R 230.

Rough green snake as a beginner reptile?

i have never kept a reptile want want to keep one or more rough green snakes. i need to know if they need uvb lighting, foods and how much and how often to feed. substrate, heating, easy to keep live plants, cleaning the cage, decorations, water bowl, and breeding, also personal experienceRough green snake as a beginner reptile?
First of all, whenever purchasing a reptile, or any pet for that matter, you should strive to do as much research as possible before you seriously consider taking care of one. Coming here is a good idea, but you should get into the habit of finding information yourself.

Rough green snakes are good beginner pets, though they are relatively flighty snakes and due to their fragile body structure they shouldn't be handled excessively. They also are not as hardy as corn or rat snakes, or ball pythons. They rarely if ever bite, though, and are a shy species.

They tend to fall victim to internal and external parasites as well as feeding issues. Moths, crickets, grasshoppers, spiders and earthworms are a typical green snake diet, yet we mainly feed them crickets in captivity. These should be gut-loaded with potatoes or apples beforehand, or provided with a cricket diet manufactured by a trusted company. They should be offered food once a week, with the cricket about the width of the thickest part of the snake's body. You can also try wax worms, butter worms, or meal worms. Any left over insects should be removed to avoid their pestering the snake.

They average 2-3 feet in length and are an arboreal species, so they require more height than floor space in an enclosure. A 10 or 20 gallon enclosure turned on its side provides more than enough space for this snake. Heat should be provided, normally through an under tank heating pad placed on the back of the glass tank (on the outside). A temperature gradient of 70 degrees on the cool side (the bottom of the tank) and 80-85 degrees on the warm side (the top of the tank). If you can get a tank made for arboreal reptiles, you can mount a heat lamp or ceramic heat emitter on top of the screen lid (you can't do this with a glass tank placed on its side). They do not require UVB lighting.

A water bowl should be provided and cleaned daily. Also, they require moderate humidity so misting the cage daily is a must.

If you search the internet you can find lists of safe live plants to use with your snake. Be sure they are nontoxic and can support the thin body of a rough green snake clambering all over them. Plastic plants work better, as well as artificial branches and rock ledges, since they are arboreal.

Substrates you can use are sphagnum moss or wood chips. An inch or so at the bottom should be fine, be sure to check it daily for waste. About every three weeks completely disinfect the enclosure and substrate. Place the snake in a temporary enclosure and dispose of all substrate. Rinse the enclosure and decorations with a solution with heavily diluted bleach or soap and water. Be sure all soap and bleach residue is rinsed away completely and dried. Replace with new substrate.

I answered as much as I could, besides breeding, which I have very little experience with. Good luck!Rough green snake as a beginner reptile?
if your going to get a snake you might like corn snakes wayyyy better they get bigger are VERY tame never bot me excpet one bastard ahah but u dont even feel it.. they can live in 15-20g enclosures dont need uvb can live off a heat mat but a cheap heatlamp would be bestkind all it needs is a rock and a water dish and food and scooping once a week it cxan also be kept with more than one,
Rough green snakes are very different from a lot of other species of snakes. They don't eat rodents, for one thing. Their enclosures are different as well.

Just looking into their care, it seems the hardest part of keeping them is finding the right food for them: moths, spiders, grasshoppers, etc. You should Never catch wild bugs for your pet as you don't know if it has pesticides or other chemicals on it. I haven't been able to find any information regarding if they are snakes that tolerate handling or not. The less info you can find on an animal, the better the sign is that it is not a good beginner animal. I rescued a burton's legless lizard, for example. They only eat other lizards and there's virtually no information regarding the setup for their cages. NOT a beginner animal.

I'm not even going to go into the info on the skink. If you are interested in getting a reptile you need to find good beginner ones.

Good beginner snakes are corns, kings, and milks for example. Some can get quite long depending on the subspecies. They are easier to care for than ball pythons and boas (even though I adore the constrictors).

As for skinks: blue-tongued skinks are the the most common in the pet trade and therefore have the most information on them. They are quite docile too.

My suggestion in these cases always is: research, research, research. You can't overdo it. I know some of these animals look cool but far too many people buy reptiles simply for the ';cool factor'; without realizing what they're getting themselves into. Do some research into the animals I listed. If you aren't interested and still have your heart set on something else, buy books, find breeders, Anything to know what you're about to commit to.

    Good luck
